AFBI is a member of the UK’s Centre of Excellence in Livestock (CIEL).
On 28th February 2017 AFBI will host a seminar on behalf of CIEL focusing on research in the area of Feed and Forage Efficiency. Guest speakers will include Justin McCarthey from the Irish Farmers Journal, Robin Irvine from NIGTA, Mark Young from CIEL and Dr Sinclair Mayne (AFBI CEO).
In the afternoon species specific groups will then hear about the latest research from AFBI researchers and leading scientists from Nottingham University, SRUC and University of Leeds in the areas of dairy, beef and sheep and pig production respectively.
