Belfast is gearing up to welcome back the Tall Ships Races in July 2015, and this year's Maritime Festival will give you a taste of the maritime-themed family fun, food and frolics you can expect next year.
During the festival, take the opportunity to learn about Belfast’s unique maritime history, climb onboard the tall ships, catch the thrilling pirate re-enactments on the River Lagan by Vilma and Soteria, take a boat tour and try out some water activities.
Along the quaysides, you can take your kids to enjoy free maritime-themed arts and crafts face painting, balloon modelling and caricature drawings entertaining sea life with hilarious street theatre.
There's a lot more going on throughout the Titanic Quarter, including swashbuckling fun at the pirate and kite-making workshops zip lining and Belfast’s only cable wake a chance to scale the walls of the famous Titanic Dock urban sports with our highly trained experts. All that sea air is sure to generate a healthy appetite, so we’ve arranged for the Maritime Market to return to Queen’s Quay with all of its popular, continental goodies and treats.
So while you’re enjoying the sights, shows and live music, you can also sample the tastes and traditions of our European neighbours.
And with a free Maritime Festival shuttle bus running between Chichester Street and the Odyssey and Titanic Belfast from 24-26 May - it’s so easy to get around!
