Biography
Zakary’s primary degree is in Agri-industrial engineering (Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët Boigny in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast) followed by experience working with industry to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. Zakary completed a postgraduate qualification in Agricultural and Resource Economics with the Paris Institute of Technology for Life, Food and Environmental Sciences «AgroParisTech» followed by a PhD at the Graduate School of Life Sciences, Health, Agronomy, and Environment of the University Clermont Auvergne, France. Dr. Zakary DIAKITE spent several years as a research fellow at the French National Institute for Agricultural Research - INRA (now INRAE) focusing on environmental impact assessment, sustainability and productivity of agricultural systems. He also taught courses in tropical agronomy at the engineering school VetAgroSup in Clermont-Ferrand, and has consulted directly with in the energy, food and agricultural sectors. Zakary work to date on the FAPRI-UK project, which investigates the relationship between production levels, prices, policy and market shocks for the main agricultural sectors of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in collaboration with University of Missouri.
