AFBI-led Beef Industry proposal receives support from Invest NI Project Definition Award.

Dr Linda Farmer (Food Research Branch) and several AFBI colleagues have received support to develop a thematic network addressing the spread best practice and innovation between European Beef Farmers for improved sustainability and competitiveness. 

This builds on industry needs discussed in a workshop Sustainable Beef Quality for Europe at the Milan Expo (October 2015) led by Dr Farmer and this year’s follow-up event  (AFBI led workshop in Milan) The award will enable AFBI staff to expand their current network of partners and to travel to Brussels for meetings with potential new partners.
