Areas of specialist expertise
Specialist expertise and advice is available to the food industry in NI and further afield. This includes advice on problem solving, scientific and research solutions on all of the following areas: optimising eating quality and nutritional quality of food, evaluating novel processes, minimising food-borne pathogens and spoilage organisms, impact of contaminants from agri-chemicals and other sources, development and application of analytical methods for the detection of chemical and microbiological contaminants in the food chain.
